It started with Bella, my neighbour dog. We where dogsitting her for a week and had to give her painkillers before each walk. She is 15 years old and at the end of life. I took a picture of her with my old Mamiya and made it in the darkroom the way I work with trees. It gave me the right feeling. She’s here right now but not for so long.
Old gentleman Henry I made as commission. I had never met him before and yet he wanted to be close to me and didn’t mind being placed and worked with. I use the gift I have with dogs, they always feel safe with me and I love them all, strays as well as the others.
