I was born in 1966 in Andrarum, Sweden, and currently live in Ny Hammersholt, Denmark. I graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1999.

My work is exhibited worldwide and spans the media of photography, video, and installation. It embraces the contradictions of love, possession, and power. A recurring theme is the hierarchies between humans and other animals, where I want to trigger empathy for the less fortunate. Between 1997 and 2009 I also produced works in public space with my feminist artist collective Kvinder på Værtshus/Women Down the Pub.

I have produced public artworks for Public Art Agency (Statens konstråd) and Region Skåne and my works are represented in public collections including Moderna Muséet Stockholm, Uppsala Konstmuseum, Danish Arts Council, Danish Film Institute, Malmö Konstmuseum, and many other museums, regions, and municipalities.
